3 notes[Souji’s eyes narrowed as he walked through his unfamiliar surroundings. He was almost surprised to hear someone’s voice behind him, and was even more surprised to be face-to-face with a man wielding a bat. Instinctively, he took his battle stance and held up his arms slightly; his muscles tensed and prepared to spring forward in attack. He kept his stormy gaze trained on the man as the crates tumbled to the ground and prepared for the bat to swing closer to him next. However, he didn’t move. Indeed he was met with the cool metal on his nose, but that was it. He knew that this person wasn’t going to hurt him- or at least try to- yet. His eyes trained on the other still, calculating and silent.]
My name’s Minato.
[Souji didn’t trust this person, he didn’t trust him in the slightest bit. So, he gave the man the first name that popped into his head.]
Thought I don’t think that manners would really matter now, seeing as how you greeted me with a bat to the face. Unless I missed some sort of important memo, I don’t think that’s what you’d call ‘proper etiquette’.
[His words came out coldly, evenly and barely held any real emotion in them.]
“Touche. At least I had the decency to tell you my real name.” He lifted his weight off the bat, now resting it on his shoulder. He walked around the teen in circles, examining him from head to toe, golden eye trained on him.
“I haven’t seen your face around here. I gotta tell you, kid. It takes guts to come here. That,” He slammed down the top of his bat down again, this time with signifigantly much more force. With the sound of it, it should’ve made a crack on the concrete, but it didn’t. He had the look of scorn on his face, “Or you’re just another one of those egotistical asses,” He spat. He continued pacing around the other, bat dragging against the ground.
“Nobody ever comes here anymore. Save for the thugs the old man bastard for a leader sends here. They just want to wipe my ass on the concrete. Maybe even shoot a bullet through my chest if they had the audacity to! Who the hell knows? All they have to do is have my head on a silver platter, and present it to the old fart.” He leaned forward, now without the support of the bat. Their faces had very little distance between them, invading the teen’s personal space. His lone eye narrowed.
“So what about you? What are you here for, kid? Nobody comes here without reason. I’m here, after all. There is no one in this town that doesn’t know my existence.”
